Mat 5:44“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Mat 5:46“For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
Mat 5:47“If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
Mat 5:48“Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Mat 6:24“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Mat 19:19HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
Mat 22:37And He said to him, ” ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
Mat 22:38“This is the great and foremost commandment.
Mat 22:39“The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’
Mar 12:30AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’
Mar 12:31“The second is this, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Luk 6:27“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Luk 6:28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
Luk 6:29“Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.
Luk 6:30“Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
Luk 6:31“Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.
Luk 6:32“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
Luk 6:33“If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
Luk 6:34“If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount.
Luk 6:35“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.
Luk 6:36“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Luk 7:41“A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
Luk 7:42“When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?”
Luk 7:43Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”
Luk 7:44Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
Luk 7:45“You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.
Luk 7:46“You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.
Luk 7:47“For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
Luk 7:48Then He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”
Luk 11:42“But woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithe of mint and rue and every kind of garden herb, and yet disregard justice and the love of God; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
Luk 11:43“Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the chief seats in the synagogues and the respectful greetings in the market places.
Luk 11:44“Woe to you! For you are like concealed tombs, and the people who walk over them are unaware of it.“
Luk 16:13“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”
Luk 16:14Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him.
Joh 8:42Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.
Joh 11:3So the sisters sent word to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”
Joh 11:5Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
Joh 11:35Jesus wept.
Joh 11:36So the Jews were saying, “See how He loved him!”
Joh 13:34“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
Joh 13:35“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Joh 14:15“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Joh 14:16“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
Joh 14:21“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
Joh 14:23Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.
Joh 14:24“He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
Joh 14:31but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here.
Joh 15:9“Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.
Joh 15:10“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Joh 15:11“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
Joh 15:12“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
Joh 15:13“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
Joh 15:14“You are My friends if you do what I command you.
Joh 15:17“This I command you, that you love one another.
Joh 17:26and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
Joh 21:15So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus *said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He *said to him, “Tend My lambs.”
Joh 21:16He *said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He *said to him, “Shepherd My sheep.”
Joh 21:17He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep.
Rom 5:5and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Rom 5:8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 8:28And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Rom 8:35Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36Just as it is written, “FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”
Rom 8:37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Rom 8:38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Rom 8:39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Rom 12:9Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
Rom 12:10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;
Rom 12:11not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,
Rom 12:13contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
Rom 13:8Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:9For this, “YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT COVET,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
Rom 13:10Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Rom 14:15For if because of food your brother is hurt, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.
Rom 14:16Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil;
Rom 14:17for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Rom 15:30Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
1Co 2:9but just as it is written, “THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”
1Co 8:1Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.
1Co 8:3but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.
1Co 13:1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1Co 13:2If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
1Co 13:4Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
1Co 13:5does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
1Co 13:6does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
1Co 13:7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
1Co 13:9For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
1Co 13:10but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.
1Co 13:11When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
1Co 13:12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
1Co 13:13But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1Co 16:14Let all that you do be done in love.
1Co 16:24My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
2Co 2:4For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears; not so that you would be made sorrowful, but that you might know the love which I have especially for you.
2Co 5:14For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;
2Co 5:15and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
2Co 8:7But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also.
2Co 8:8I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also.
2Co 8:24Therefore openly before the churches, show them the proof of your love and of our reason for boasting about you.
2Co 11:11Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!
2Co 12:15I will most gladly spend and be expended for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
2Co 13:11Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Gal 5:6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.
Gal 5:13For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Gal 5:14For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
Gal 5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Eph 1:4just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
Eph 1:5He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,
Eph 1:6to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Eph 1:15For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,
Eph 1:16do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;
Eph 2:4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Eph 2:5even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Eph 2:6and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Eph 3:16that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
Eph 3:17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
Eph 3:19and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Eph 4:1Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
Eph 4:2with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
Eph 4:3being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:14As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;
Eph 4:15but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,
Eph 4:16from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
Eph 5:1Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;
Eph 5:2and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
Eph 5:25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
Eph 5:28So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;
Eph 5:29for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
Eph 5:33Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.
Eph 6:23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 6:24Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.
Phi 1:9And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,
Phi 1:10so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ;
Phi 2:1Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
Phi 2:2make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
Phi 2:3Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
Phi 2:4do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Col 1:4since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints;
Col 1:8and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.
Col 2:2that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself,
Col 2:3in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Col 3:14Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
Col 3:19Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.
1Th 1:3constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,
1Th 1:4knowing, brethren beloved by God, His choice of you;
1Th 3:6But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always think kindly of us, longing to see us just as we also long to see you,
1Th 3:12and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;
1Th 3:13so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.
1Th 4:9Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;
1Th 5:12But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,
1Th 5:13and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.
2Th 1:3We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater;
2Th 2:10and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.
2Th 2:16Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,
2Th 2:17comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.
2Th 3:5May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.
1Ti 1:5But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1Ti 1:14and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.
1Ti 2:15But women will be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint.
1Ti 3:3not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.
1Ti 4:12Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
1Ti 6:10For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
1Ti 6:11But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.
2Ti 1:7For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
2Ti 1:13Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 2:22Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
2Ti 3:10Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,
Tit 2:2Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.
Tit 2:4so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
Tit 3:4But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
Tit 3:5He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
Tit 3:15All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all.
Phm 1:4I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
Phm 1:5because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
Phm 1:7For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
Phm 1:8Therefore, though I have enough confidence in Christ to order you to do what is proper,
Phm 1:9yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you–since I am such a person as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Christ Jesus–
Heb 6:10For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.
Heb 10:24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
Heb 10:25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Heb 13:1Let love of the brethren continue.
Heb 13:2Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers
Heb 13:3Remember the prisoners, and those who are ill-treated
Heb 13:4Marriage is to be held in honor among all
Heb 13:5Make sure that your character is free from the love of money,
Heb 13:7Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you
Heb 13:9Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings;
Heb 13:16And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Heb 13:17Obey your leaders and submit to them
Heb 13:18Pray for us,
Jam 1:12Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
Jam 2:5Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
Jam 2:8If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF,” you are doing well.
Jam 2:9But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
1Pe 1:8and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
1Pe 1:22Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,
1Pe 1:23for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
1Pe 2:17Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
1Pe 3:10For, “THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT.
1Pe 3:11“HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD; HE MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT.
1Pe 3:12“FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL.”
1Pe 4:8Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
1Pe 5:14Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ.
2Pe 1:5Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge,
2Pe 1:6and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness,
2Pe 1:7and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
2Pe 1:8For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Jo 2:5but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:
1Jo 2:6the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
1Jo 2:15Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jo 3:1See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
1Jo 3:10By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.
1Jo 3:11For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;
1Jo 3:14We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.
1Jo 3:16We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1Jo 3:17But whoever has the world’s goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
1Jo 3:18Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
1Jo 3:23This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
1Jo 4:7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
1Jo 4:8The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
1Jo 4:9By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
1Jo 4:10In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1Jo 4:11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1Jo 4:12No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.
1Jo 4:16We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
1Jo 4:17By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.
1Jo 4:18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
1Jo 4:19We love, because He first loved us.
1Jo 4:20If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
1Jo 4:21And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
1Jo 5:1Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
1Jo 5:2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
1Jo 5:3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
2Jo 1:1The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth,
2Jo 1:2for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever:
